Welcome to Some Kitchen Stories where the amazing photographer Nicole and genius writer Judi come together to provide you with good food and even better reads. This idea is brilliant… you know that right? You’re cooking, you’re eating, so why not throw in a good story to catch up on. Here’s a snippet of why they started with the stories:

Judi spins each recipe into a fictional story. Sometimes just an ingredient is called out, sometimes the whole dish. All of the stories are fictional unless you see “A true story” at the top. That means it really happened. We thought it’d be fun to have one long, recurring storyline. That’s Smitty & The Girl. That page at the top will always be updated with the latest “episode” so if you’ve missed a few, just scroll down and pick up where you left off.

Fact: You can not have a food blog without great photos. Well… you shouldn’t. There is no way that you can bake a glorious chocolate cake and then do it justice by taking a sad photo of it. Inexcusable. These photos are something else. Nicole has an amazing eye for the way food should look- it should stir something in you, rise emotion. It should make you feel coziness or comfort, it should make you want to stand up and start cooking, it should make you feel totally ok about eating an entire batch of cookies. It should do something. And these photos do.

Awesome right!? All of these posts are so amazing and the recipes are so diverse, fun and mouth-watering! When Nicole told me she had a blog I was super excited to check it out, but I am still amazed at how beautiful it is. Even if you don’t cook- you’ll love this- I promise!
