The Girl I Envy: The Fashion Blogger
I love my fashion bloggers. I really do. I love how pretty you look and your shoes and accessories and those damn blazers that always look so good on you. But mostly, I envy the fact that you have a photographer. Sometimes I get all dolled up and go, “Damn, I’d really love a photo of this awesome outfit.” But I look at West playing games and then stare at my camera (a poorly charged iPhone) and give up. Instead I have half-assed photos (a selfie), from my mobile that only tells half the story of how long it really took me to get dressed.
I don’t want to sound self-absorbed… I mean, I love taking photos and being in them and that whole center of attention thing (doesn’t everyone?), but it’d be nice to have them documented on some quality digitals. Or like, I’m re-doing my website and I want a snazzy photo of myself for my “about” section yet all I have are thousands (seriously) of Instagram photos.
My main question is… If you are a fashion blogger who is the person that is taking your photos. What’s the process like? Do you rip the camera out of their hands and delete the first 12 photos? Do you edit them? DO YOU PHOTOSHOP YOURSELF?
Please share your secrets so I can envy your damn hotness a litte less.

The photographer in me had to giggle at this post a little bit. I think a lot of fashion bloggers enlist their significant others to take their photos. I can’t comment on the rest because I’m a professional chase-the-baby-with-a-camera person. It’s really glamorous.

Girl, get a tripod and remote for your camera! It’ll save West from getting up from his computer or video games, and you’ll still get awesome shots from your T2I!

I used to be really envious of fashion bloggers that have their own photographers.
So I talked to my boyfriend and…I bought a $20 tripod off of amazon.
It’s awesome.
I just ordered a remote, so that makes it 10x more awesome.
And yes. I do photoshop myself. I mean, it’s not like I always have *that* zit in *that* spot.
